Knees really suck--so does conditioning

W00t! Its been a solid couple of months of training and I am back at school once again. Training for my next MMA fight in December has challenged me but I have been getting extremely conditioned and ready to beat some booty.

For those of you out there who don’t know who I am, I am Daniel Greenwell, professional Mixed Martial Artist. I have a third-degree black belt in Taekwondo and am a solid boxer with some Brazilian Jiu Jitsu background. In competition, I am 10-0 with 9 Knockouts and a submission on strikes.

I just passed my conditioning test today, and that, for you workout buffs out there, looks like this:

-5 minute jog at 5 mph

-5 minute sprint at 7.5 mph

-Set of 20 pullups, 50 Pushups, and 50 full body squats

-5 minute jog at 6 mph

-5 minute sprint at 8.5 mph

-Set of 25 pullups, 65 pushups and 60 full body squats

-5 minute jog at 6 mph

-Fall on the floor and die.

-End of conditioning test

Now let me say, I didn’t start at that. It’s taken a lot of hard work to push through that pain to make myself physically able to do that.

I have actually only taken around 21 pills today so I am pretty proud of that.
